Monica Swanson is Business Manager International Hydrogen Projects at Port of Rotterdam, where she has worked on the Digitization of Ports prior to starting work on Hydrogen related projects last year. She is currently working on building international corridors and coalitions for the import of hydrogen, in support of corporate aims for this. Projects she manages are, for instance, the H2Sines.RDAM project with Portugal and a project in Morocco. Closer to home she represents Port of Rotterdam in the HyTrucks project for fuel cell driven trucks, working together with business partners to achieve zero emission long haul road transportation to from and via Port of Rotterdam.
Port of Rotterdam is keen to co-operate with other ports and has a strong vision on both Digitization and the Green Transition. We work with commercial and public organisations to achieve our aims for these. Externally, we provide board level advice on port development and port management to ports around the world, initiate and manage participations in new or developing ports and in supply chains in countries strategically important to Rotterdam. Focus on strategic account development, promoting the Port of Rotterdam’s range of solutions and services with other ports and on integrating the aims for the green transition into our way of working.
