Júlia T. Machado is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action (MSCA) fellow at the National University of Ireland in Galway (NUIGalway). She is currently developing her PhD in Political Sciences while working as a researcher for the Solar2Chem project (H2020).
By training 15 Early-stage researchers (ESRs) in state of the art concepts and techniques, the Solar2Chem project aims to cover the promotion of solar chemicals within policy-makers and stakeholders, focussing on novel molecules and materials while considering their environmental footprint and technical, economic and policy aspects.
Júlia holds an Erasmus Mundus MSc. in Water and Coastal Management and an Environmental Management degree, an educational background filled with international and multidisciplinary experiences in renewable energy projects in Brazil, Portugal, Italy, Spain and Ireland.
Her current research seeks to fill the existing policy gap in the European industrial landscape of solar-driven Hydrogen and solar chemicals production and usage.
